Korsteel Curb Chain Hooks
A pair of curb chain hooks used to replace bent or broken hooks on an existing curbed bit such as a pelham or kimblewick, or to add a curb onto a suitable bit such as Myler eggbutt with hooks.
The smaller round end is passed through the holes on the bit, and then squeezed closed with pliers or similar to prevent the hook from coming off.
These curb hooks are designed to be used open side out- It is usual in the UK to have the curb hooks pointing back towards the horse whereas on the continent the curb hooks are often open towards the bit.
