This liquid water based non greasy wax is easy to apply to wet or dry leather to maintain the material support, breathability and waterproofing. Regular wetting of untreated boots causes the tanning agents to disappear making the leather susceptible to cracking and weakening. This proofing wax maintains the support of the leather without over softening and replaces the water repellency so your boots stay drier, breathable and lighter. We recommend that you clean your boots with Nikwax Cleaning Gel prior to treating them.
